TERMS & CONDITIONS
Introduction
These terms and conditions set out the basis on which coaching services are provided by The Space After. They are intended to be clear and straightforward, and to ensure that we both feel comfortable and confident in how we work together. If you have any questions, then please get in touch before we begin.
The coaching relationship
Coaching is a collaborative and forward-focused process. It is not therapy, counselling or medical treatment, and should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health support.
As your coach, I will offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to explore your thoughts, feelings and goals. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions and support you to find your own way forward. I will not tell you what to do or make decisions on your behalf
You are responsible for your own choices, decisions and actions throughout the coaching relationship and beyond.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed during our coaching sessions is kept strictly confidential. I will not share information about you or our work together with any third party without your explicit consent, except in the following circumstances:
Where I have serious concerns about your safety or the safety of others
Where I am required to do so by law
As part of my professional practice, I may discuss coaching cases with a clinical supervisor. This is standard practice and ensures the quality of the support I offer. Any such discussions take place without identifying details.
I may keep brief notes following our sessions to support the continuity of our work together. These are stored securely in line with my Privacy & Data Protection Policy.
Session fees and payment
Fees are as follows:
Free discovery conversation — Complimentary, up to one hour
Single session — £85
Six session package — £475, payable in full or in two instalments
Payment is required in advance of each session by BACS bank transfer. Details will be provided upon booking.
Cancellation and rescheduling
I ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at the full session fee. Sessions missed without notice will also be charged at the full session fee.
If you arrive late to a session, the session will still end at the scheduled time and the full fee will be charged. If you anticipate being late, please let me know as soon as possible. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the session will be considered forfeit and the full fee will be charged.
For rescheduling, I ask for as much notice as possible so that I can offer the time to another client.
I will always try to be flexible in exceptional circumstances. If something unexpected arises, please get in touch as soon as possible and we will find a solution together.
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will give you as much notice as possible. Where I am unable to give 48 hours notice due to unforeseen circumstances, I will offer you an alternative session at a time that suits you. You will never be charged for a session cancelled by me.
Technology
In the event of technical difficulties during an online session, we will do our best to reconnect as quickly as possible. If we are unable to continue the session due to technical issues on my side, I will offer you an alternative session at no additional charge. If technical difficulties arise on your side, I will endeavour to be flexible but the session time cannot always be recovered.
Six session package
The six session package is non-refundable once purchased. Unused sessions do not expire and can be carried forward and used at a mutually agreed time.
If you wish to pause or take a break from coaching, please let me know and we will agree how to proceed.
Ending the coaching relationship
Either party may bring the coaching relationship to a close at any time. I ask that wherever possible you give reasonable notice so that we can have a final session to close our work together in a considered way.
If I have concerns that coaching is no longer the right form of support for you, I will discuss this with you openly and, where appropriate, suggest alternative sources of support.
Intellectual property
All content on this website and any materials shared during coaching sessions remain the intellectual property of The Space After and may not be reproduced or shared without prior written permission.
Complaints
If you have any concerns about the service you have received, I would ask that you raise them with me directly in the first instance. I will do my best to address any issues promptly, openly and fairly.
If you feel your concern has not been resolved satisfactorily, you may escalate your complaint to the relevant professional coaching body. The Space After holds a coaching qualification accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the Association for Coaching (AC) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
Limitation of liability
The Space After accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of information on this website or from the coaching services provided, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
